The human value in the decisions AI makes possible.
I use artificial intelligence in my work of analysis, communication and organisation. Experience leads me to focus on one question: what skills are needed for tools to produce a useful and verifiable contribution?
What I mean by Human Advantage
I mean the contribution of someone who knows the context, asks a relevant question, recognises an error and evaluates the consequences of a choice. AI can expand operational possibilities. Skill, judgement, relationship and responsibility continue to guide its use. This perspective runs through my consulting, training and public speaking.
From problem to application
I start from the work to be done: what information is needed, where activities repeat, who must use the result and how we can evaluate it. Only then do I choose tools and ways to test. The application is examined in the real process, with attention to the quality of the result and the possibility of maintaining it over time.
Areas of application
Analysis and knowledge
Organise materials, compare information and prepare a first reading to verify with domain expertise.
Communication and content
Integrate research, design and editorial production while keeping the voice recognisable and sources controllable.
Processes and organisation
Examine repetitive steps, connections between tools and automation possibilities, considering who will manage the process.
Learning
Develop the ability to formulate requests, evaluate answers and recognise when deeper investigation is needed.
Criteria for deciding
An application should be evaluated for the problem it solves, the quality of the information, the control over the result and the effort needed to manage it. These are criteria that allow choosing even when a proposal is not suitable.
